A must for all chocolate aficionados . In person tasting was the perfect way to learn, taste and explore the incredible cocoa bean. A huge range of wonderful craft chocolate. The team are genuinely passionate experts who take you on a journey of discovery and education around such a fascinating product. The tastings are fun and you learn so much - transforming your perception of chocolate. I have to confess I am a big white chocolate fan, and they have a great range!
The in person chocolate tasting was interesting, informative, entertaining, full of surprises and mostly delicious (there were a couple of exceptions to help us develop our tasting skills!) Highly recommended.
An excellent evening of chocolate tasting. Informative and educational. Covered far more than just tasting chocolate. Fun to see other contributors on the zoom session. I now know the difference between Cadburys milky bar and real locally sourced chocolate.
Spencer has an encyclopaedic knowledge of how chocolate is produced and how we experience it melting in the mouth. Very pleased to learn how to savour chocolate properly, and to stop supporting the damage wreaked by most of the chocolate industry.
I spent a very informative couple of hours last night learning all about and tasting craft chocolate at a virtual tasting event delivered by Cocoa Runners. We each had the most beautifully packaged set of different craft chocolate bars and were guided by an expert on how to taste them. We could interact with each other to share our taste experiences which was interesting to see. The team member from cocoa runners explained all aspects of chocolate from its history to how it’s grown and the process it goes through to reach us in a bar. Also I found it really interesting to learn about the ethical side of production and how important it is for us to stop buying the mass produced chocolate and seek out these crafted bars, where the makers have direct contact with the farmers who grow the cocoa beans. I can recommend doing a tasting and I’ll be signing up for more, as each month there’s a different selection of chocolates to try. Thank you for an inspiring evening.
